The best mocktail spots in Porto: Sober Travel Guide

One of the biggest misconceptions about sober travel is that you can't have fun on a night out. Porto proves that wrong. This vibrant Portuguese city is full of sophisticated bars and restaurants where you can enjoy incredible mocktails while hanging out with friends who are drinking—no awkwardness, no compromise, just good vibes.

Whether you're looking for a late-night spot to dance and celebrate or a nice dinner with craft mocktails, Porto has you covered. Here are the best places to get mocktails in Porto.

Late Night Mocktail Spots (Stay Out With Your Friends & Stay Sober):

Flow Restaurant & Bar

Located at Rua da Conceição 63 in downtown Porto, Flow is the perfect spot for a night out. Open until midnight (1 AM on weekends), the bar area features four crafted mocktails: cranberry orange, fresh flow, virgin mojito, and virgin mule. The vibe is chic and modern, with a Mediterranean menu and a lively atmosphere. You can grab a mocktail at the bar and soak in the energy while your friends enjoy their drinks.

The Royal Cocktail Club

This is THE spot if you want to stay out late while staying sober. Located at Rua da Fábrica 105, The Royal Cocktail Club is open until 3 AM—giving you plenty of time to enjoy the night. The intimate, sophisticated space features an impressive mocktail menu alongside traditional cocktails. The bartenders here are artists, and they take their craft seriously. Whether you're ordering a mocktail or a cocktail, you're getting something special. This is where sober travelers and their friends come to celebrate together. Just because you’re not drinking alcohol, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy those late nights out laughing with friends! All that said, there were people trying to sell drugs outside this popular spot & street for nightlife, so just something to be aware of! Ignore them and move on!

Curioso Cocktail Bar

Nestled near Mercado Ferreira Borges, Curioso is an upscale, chic cocktail bar open until 1 AM daily. The bar specializes in incredibly crafted mocktails and cocktails, with an innovative approach to mixology. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, making it perfect for a night out with friends. The bartenders here are passionate about their craft and will create something amazing whether you're drinking alcohol or not.

Dinner With Friends (Mocktails Included):

Herdade 1980

Located inside the iconic Mercado do Bolhão on the 2nd floor, Herdade 1980 offers a unique dining experience with views of historic Rua Sá da Bandeira. This is a nicer dinner spot with traditional Portuguese cuisine and a thoughtful mocktail list. The atmosphere is elegant but approachable, and the service is warm and welcoming. It's the perfect place for a special dinner with friends where everyone—sober or not—feels celebrated.

Mocktail at Enoteca 17.56

Enoteca 17.56

Perched on the banks of the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia (just across the river from Porto), Enoteca 17.56 is an upscale dining experience. Open from 12:30 PM to 11 PM daily, this elegant restaurant features an excellent wine list and equally impressive non-alcoholic options. The views of Porto's old town are stunning, and the food is refined. It's the kind of place where you feel special—sober or not.

Why Porto is Perfect for Sober Travelers:

Porto's bar and restaurant scene is sophisticated and inclusive. You won't feel out of place ordering a mocktail at any of these spots. The bartenders and servers understand that great drinks—with or without alcohol—are about craft, flavor, and experience. Plus, the city's laid-back Portuguese vibe means everyone's just here to have a good time.

Honestly, I’m sure there are so many more spots but I really only indulge in NA Bevs as more of a social thing these days & I will ALWAYS only recommend spots I have been to & can vouch for. If you want to see a bit more of the mocktails and locations listed here you can view them in my reel here.
